Home Made Oat Milk? No thank you, here’s why…
Starting my blog, after having a “failure” with making Oat Milk isn’t the best first post, but it turns out, the gloop is meant to look gone off, like curdled cows milk “Shake it” before use the say! Many Blogs don’t warn you of the results if you try making your own!
I found a blog that explains Oat Milk “separates” because, unlike the yummy alternative milks you can buy in supermarkets, the home made stuff doesn’t have the additives in that stop it looking/feeling disgusting 🤢 in the mouth.
The Blogger goes into further details and suggests a recipe that doesn’t do it so bad, but folk in comments section are still having problems, and as my dog wouldn’t touch it either, I’ve poured it down the loo for the fishes.
To avoid putting myself off Oats for life I will not be experimenting with making cheese or yogurts with any of these milks from home either now! 🤮, as I’ve read elsewhere, they are nothing like the cows milk versions, which I have made successfully at home in past.
If you get easily nauseous by surprises such as this like me, I’d stick to the supermarket versions!
